L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Pen | REVIEW

Like 99% of the blogging population, I love dewy, fresh skin and any product that promises this always finds it's way into my makeup collection!
The L'Oreal Lumi Magique collection has impressed me so far - the foundation is used regularly (review here) and I've read so many reviews about the highlighting pen that I had to try it! Also, I'm not willing to part with £20+ for a new Touche Eclat so I was interesting in seeing how a drugstore alternative would fare.
As I just mentioned, I recently said goodbye to my Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat and after only getting the best part of 3 hours sleep last night, I thought it was the perfect chance to put it to the test under my tired eyes!
The Highlighting Pen basically comes with a twist top and a brush at the end which deposits the product. So, you twist the end and apply this under your eyes, up your cheekbones and on your browbone. The product is really nice and creamy and I haven't noticed any creasing and it's so long lasting! I used it with the foundation this morning and I've found that this is an amazing dewy skin combination that made me look fresh and more awake than I felt!
The colour is perfect for me too, there are only 3 shades (Light, Medium and Dark) though so I'd be careful when picking which shade to go for - especially as this is supposed to brighten so you don't want it too dark!
This has definitely replaced my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer (sorry!) as my go to undereye brightener and I think I've found a winning formula with the foundation too! Next on my wishlist is the Lumi Magique Primer as I desperately want to own the whole collection to get the perfect fresh dewy skin in time for summer.
Have you tried any of the Lumi Magique range? Let me know what you think below!

  6. Sounds like it's worth a try. My touche eclat is running low and I don't want to spend the money on a new one if this is just as good!
