Real Techniques Powder Brush | REVIEW
Real Techniques are a favourite brand of mine for makeup brushes - they're much cheaper than brands such as MAC but are amazing quality! I already have the Core Collection, Starter Set, Stippling Brush and Blush Brush so my most recent addition was the Powder Brush. I'd had my eye on this for a while because it's literally huge. My EcoTools Powder Brush just couldn't compete with this!
I love the colour coding of the RT brushes. Orange is for your base, purple for your eyes and pink for the "finishing touches". This makes it easy to organise them - especially if you have a lot like me!
The bristles of the powder brush are fairly dense, making applying powder a dream as it's done in literally a couple of sweeps. It's extremely soft and fluffy so it feels so nice on your face and could also be used for powder foundation if you prefer.
I know that most people don't really notice it, but the handle is nice and easy to use and I like the slightly hourglass shape of it as it sits comfortably in your hand. It's not the easiest brush for travel however, it would easily fit into the cases from either the Core Collection or Starter Set.
As with all the RT brushes, it's easy to wash and dry and I would definitely say it's the best brush I've had for powder. I haven't seen anything similar on the market for such a reasonable price. The one thing I would say is be quite light handed with it. As I mentioned, the denseness of the bristles means that a little goes a long way!
I have my eye on the Expert Face Brush next. What's your favourite RT brush?
