Revlon Matte & Lacquer Balms | REVIEW
Revlon Matte Balm in 'Shameless'
Revlon Lacquer Balm in 'Provocateur'
It's quite possible that I got overly excited about the launch of the Revlon Matte & Lacquer Balms in January but the hype was so worth it. Boots spoilt us by putting them on 3 for 2 as soon as they hit stores so I picked up the Matte Balm in 'Shameless', and the Lacquer Balms in 'Provocateur' and 'Vivacious'. I have an obsession with lip products so when I say that 'Shameless' did not leave my lips for an entire week, I think we can say it's love. I've been obsessed with berry/purple lips this winter and when I saw it on SMLxo here, I knew I had to get this to add to my stash. The matte finish is perfect as it fades nicely and doesn't feel drying at all, which is surprising for a matte product. Both the lacquers and the mattes are extremely pigmented, making them the perfect option for a bold lip. I slicked on 'Provocateur' this morning and was surprised at how much I liked it as I don't often go for a red. The lacquers are so shiny without being sticky or unpleasant to wear on the lips. I'm genuinely tempted to buy the entire line! It's worth mentioning that the packaging is absolutely gorgeous too, matte crayons for the matte balms and shiny, sweet wrapper packaging for the lacquers. If you haven't tried any of these yet, give them a go, the matte, lacquer and regular finishes mean there's something for everyone and at £7.99, it's kind on the bank balance too.
ps. hope you like the new style of photos! Let me know in the comments.
